Nominations Open for King’s Coronation Medal
In May 2023, the federal government announced the striking of 30,000 commemorative medals for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, King of Canada. The King Charles III Coronation Medals are an opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant differences in their local communities and for the country as a whole.
MPP Robin Martin, Member of Provincial Parliament for Eglinton-Lawrence is a strong partner in the program and invites members of the community to put forth nominations to be considered.
Members of the community should consider nominees for the King Charles III Coronation Medal to be individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada, Ontario or their local communities. This includes but is not limited to first responders and frontline workers, veterans and veteran organizations, community leaders, volunteers and more.
Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Have made significant contributions to the country, Ontario, region or community, or an achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada, and
- Be alive on 6 May 2023. The Coronation Medal can be bestowed posthumously, as long as the candidate was alive on the date of the coronation.
Nominations are open until midnight on the 15th of September, 2024, and will be accepted both online and in-person at MPP Robin Martin’s constituency office at 2882 Dufferin St, Toronto, ON. Please Email us at Robin.Martin@pc.ola.org with the following information:
